Manifolds
Air distribution manifolds are the central hub of the REC Flex System ventilation system, responsible for efficient and balanced air distribution. These distribution boxes connect the main duct coming from the heat recovery unit to multiple smaller-diameter flexible ducts, which supply air to each room individually. REC BalticVent offers a wide range of galvanized steel LFT manifolds with a varying number of connections.

How to Choose the Right Manifold?
The manifold, also known as a distribution box, is the "heart" of a radial (star) ventilation system. It takes a large volume of air from the main duct (e.g., Ø125, Ø160, or Ø200 mm) and distributes it evenly to several or more than a dozen smaller-diameter flexible ducts (Ø75mm or Ø90mm). This method of air distribution not only simplifies system balancing but also significantly reduces noise transmission between rooms (crosstalk).
Main Features of Manifolds
In our assortment, you will find LFT series manifolds with the following features:
- Purpose: Efficient distribution of airflow from the main trunk duct to individual REC Flex HDPEA flexible ducts. Used for both air supply and extract.
- Robust Construction: All LFT manifolds are made of sturdy galvanized steel (ZN 275), ensuring longevity and corrosion resistance.
- Insulated Version (LFT-I): We also offer LFT-I models, which are additionally insulated with a special COOLFLEX material. This insulation has good thermal properties, protects against condensation, and provides additional sound attenuation. The COOLFLEX insulation is also resistant to the growth of bacteria and mold.
- Wide Range of Sizes: You will find manifolds with different main duct connection diameters (Ø125, Ø160, Ø200 mm) and a varying number of flexible duct connections (from 5 to 16 branches).
- Airtight Connection: The spigots of the manifolds are designed for an airtight connection with REC Flex HDPEA flexible ducts, using special RE rubber gaskets.
What to Consider When Choosing?
- Number of Flexible Ducts: Choose a manifold with the required number of branches, based on how many individual air supply/extract points are planned in your ventilation project.
- Main Duct Diameter: The connection diameter of the manifold must match the diameter of the main duct coming from the heat recovery unit.
- Need for Insulation (LFT vs LFT-I): If the manifold will be installed in a cold zone (e.g., an unheated attic) or if higher acoustic requirements are in place, it is recommended to choose the insulated LFT-I model.
A properly selected manifold is essential for ensuring the balanced, quiet, and efficient operation of the REC Flex System. We invite you to explore our assortment and choose the most suitable solution for your project.
