It is a special, flexible duct with a perforated inner core, encased in a sound-absorbing layer of mineral wool. This design allows it to effectively "absorb" the noise generated by the ventilation unit. Due to their flexibility, these silencers are indispensable when installing systems in tight spaces, for example, when connecting a heat recovery unit to the main ductwork.

Types of Silencers

In our assortment, you will find two main types of silencers, which differ by their outer jacket:

• Silencers with an aluminium cover: These feature the highest A1 fire class for non-combustible materials and are intended for installations where strict fire safety requirements apply.
• Silencers with a polyethene (PE) cover: This is a universal and economical solution, perfectly suited for most residential home and apartment ventilation systems.

Installation and Effectiveness
