Product Description

REC's RW60® air transfer silencer provides a complete solution that meets all acoustic requirements when there is a demand for high sound attenuation. The RW60® comprises a silencer and – for this purpose specifically developed – an air transfer grill designed for acoustic inner ceilings or walls. This system ensures effective sound attenuation between rooms, meeting crosstalk requirements for buildings up to sound class A, while also offering very good airflow due to the high free area on the grille unit.

REC's RW60® ensures that wall requirements for high sound attenuation are maintained. RW60® does not affect the total wall R_w, and a reduction calculation is therefore not needed. It can be used in schools, offices, hospitals, medical reception rooms, interrogation rooms, public toilets, laundry rooms, and other areas where the wall has sound requirements.

Key Features:

• Area of Use: Air transfer between rooms with high sound attenuation, particularly suitable for installation in suspended ceilings and walls.
• Kit Options (Two Types):
  • TT - Ceiling / Ceiling: Consists of one AKU-COMP A 1.2 m silencer (or one 0.6 m, depending on selection), two mounting frames with lock washers, and two grilles for suspended ceilings.
  • TV - Ceiling / Wall: Consists of one AKU-COMP A 1.2 m silencer, one mounting frame with lock washer, one grille for suspended ceilings with lock washer, and one wall diffuser.
• Sound Attenuation: Provides high sound reduction (R_w 65/1 m² for TT type; R_w 56/1 m² for TV type, measured according to ISO 1:717, 1:140).
• Design: The system consists of REC's flexible AKU-COMP A silencer and our acoustic suspended ceiling transfer grille. The silencer's flexible construction allows for several installation possibilities.
• Material: Aluminium / steel sheet.
• Finish: White powder-coated steel sheet (RAL 9016).
• Fire Properties: RW60® meets the requirements for non-combustible material, Euro Class A1 according to standard EN 13501-1.
• Air Tightness Class: D.
• Corrosivity: C2.

• AKU-COMP Silencer Lengths:
  • 0.6 m (nominal length 0.25 m, extendable to 0.6 m)

• Maximum Operating Temperature: +80°C.
• Care: Clean the transfer grilles when necessary, using lukewarm water and a detergent.
